BACK FROM KAI'S VILLAGE!
Heyy everyone! So after a very quick week at the orphanage we are back in Phnom Pehn preparing to head to the beach tomorrow morning!! The week was fantastic - we all had an amazing time! The work was a bit tedious at first as we spend the first 2 days picking rocks for 6 hours :/ However, for the rest of the week we worked on the farm, planting seeds and raking all sorts, for 2 hours and then played with the babies or taught the older children English for another 2 hours. The orphanage itself was lovely, the people were all so sweet, always with a smile on their faces, and you could tell that the children are well looked after. We felt glad leaving knowing all the children are in safe hands and will have an enjoyable childhood.
The goodbyes were very hard as we had bonded with alot of people, young and old. We all shed a tear or two! We obviously had as much of an impact on the orphanage as they did on us which is an amazing thing for us all to experience. I honestly think none of us will ever forget this week and the amazing people we met.
Emmie xx

Getting ready for the orphanage
Had a 4.00 am start to the amazing temples at Ankor Wat, unfortunately it was cloudy so we did not get to see the sun rise. Still amazing though! Now getting ready to travel to Phnom Phen and the orphanage, the people here are very friendly and we are all looking forward to meeting the children. Hope you are all enjoying the last day of term and have a fab holiday. I have developed cankles from the travel but hope they go down before I come home or I will not be able to fit in my shoes. I would also like to report to Miss Day that the girls are bullying me :-(, only joking they are all excellent company xxxxx Miss H
we are in cambodia

THIS IS IT!
Amelia and Natthida here! In 2 hours we enter the jungle for our 7 day trek. We're all having our final proper showers as we're all slightly worried about how we're going to get one in the jungle! Mark assures us there will be lovely rivers to wash in :S
We've been here for a full week now and it's gone SO fast but you know what they say, time flies when you're having fun!
This will be the last time you hear from us for a week now so until then bye! x

We are going into the jungle!!!!!
Just arrived back to Bangkok and I am sweating like never before, even my eyes are sweating ;-) The girls have been fantastic and are a credit to the school and their parents. We have already faced some difficult challenges and they are taking it in their stride. We are all a bit apprehensive about the next few days ahead, as we are about to enter the jungle. So long to proper beds and showers, hello to bugs, hammocks and more rice, I am sure it will be a tough but an amazing experience for all of us. Hopefully we will be able to upload some photos soon. Thanks for all your comments it definitely helps to hear from you and know you are thinking of us. Miss Richardson, we met Lance Armstrong.............only joking! Miss Smallwood the Magna Surfs were a godsend in the Erawan falls although they may have been a bit nibbled by the fish. Pinkles hope you are behaving yourself and Mrs McCombe of course I will write a scheme for Miss Fricker. Mr Fisher the tech here is not that up to date but will upload pics soon,
lots of love to you all

We made it :) !!
Hey Guys and Girls
We got here safe and sound.
All the team got through both Indias and Thailands security ! yaaa ! but we did lose many bottles of water and the hello kitty cake. We hope she is having fun in Mumbai's airport toilets!!
All the team are doing fine although we are all very very tired, 14 hours straight on a plane was not the best experiance of our lives and having curry for breakfast wasn't probably ideal either. We are amazed by all the sights and sounds of Bangkok and still can't quite believe we are here, looking forward to the start of our jungle trekking tomorrow
Lots of Love to you all

Thanks for your lovely comments Miss Richardson, keep following our adventures

HELLO! this is a message from build up day :)
Louise - well i think it was interesting having to empty out all of my kit :P i had bungees, cables ties, sandwich bags and my wind up torch taken off of me!! sorry dad about the torch :P i did try and persuade to get it back, but i dont think that really worked... cant wait till tomorrow now!! :D
Katie - Well the goodbye was hard I lasted 5 mins then bursted into tears love you mum ! Then we emptied out our bags on to the stage, everything was fine but i had to leave behind some beroca, the bits that make my short into to trousers, a top and my roll up shoes ohhh well ....
Had a lovely time working out how to fit eveything into my big bag so it was less than 20kg but all in a good day.
Had a way too big pack lunch and are going out for dinner, see you soon ss :)
Evie- HELLO POOCHIES! Today has been good, Ella fell asleep... I didn't have to take too much out of my bag you'll be glad to hear mum :) we sorted our our roles which was good, except I'm accountant for 8 days, and I'm not the best at maths. I'm glad we don't have to walk too much today/tomorrow but my toe is getting better! So excited for flying tomorrow. I hope we get to blog soon! Love, hugs & kisses
Fiona - Hey hey hey! After an emotional good-bye and re-packing it's fair to say i have become a professional in the rucksack-packing-area! Only a pair of socks and 2 bungees left behind. Im happy with my roles and am looking forward to leaving tomorrow, even though it's very early, and i'm not the biggest fan of flying - HELLO PLANE FOOD. Speak in the next blog. Lots of love x
Ella - YOOOOOOO! We are all very excited at the moment considering it's only 12 hours till we're waking up and setting off! This morning was hard but we all stayed strong for eachother. Mark made me leave 3 tops and a pair of knickers, boooooo. It's starting to feel real now and i am so excited although i already miss my family and friends. Luckily my role for today was transport manager and we have no other options but to walk and tomorrow it is sleeping which we willl be on the plane for so im very happy! Speak to you soon, miss and love you x
rosie- we're all so excited at the moment, going to get food now (im easpecially happy for that!) we've done our rucksakes i had to leave lots of stuff - my conditioner :( not looking foward to tomorrow 13 hours of flying but its all worth it, speak soon, love you all lots x
Amelia- Just to echo what everyone else has said really. Arrived at school at 11 today and it was tough saying goodbye to my family (quite a few tears were shed). We then had to unpack all of our bags and considering it took me well over an hour to get it shut this morning I wasn't best pleased. However, I am now fully packed, really excited now and raring to go. Speak soon x
Emmie - yooo, yeah I can't really think of anything else to say! You know what we've been up to today, thought it was going to be a lonnnngggg day but apart from feeling tired its gone quite quickly, just dinner, bed then we're off! All we've been doing is talking about it I just want to go!!! All Miss Hazell is obsessed with talking about is the pooing situation - unluckily I am her 'buddy' meaning we go on poo trips together. WOOOOOOO!!!! Oh and I was happy I didn't have to leave much behind so all that worrying about whether I've got everything was not necessary! Anywhoo, byeeee :)
Natthida - not a lot to say still in shock that we are going tomorrow!!
Miss Hazell- Thanks Emmie for sharing that with everyone, but seriously we do have to have toilet buddies, she just got the short straw! I am very excited now and feeling proud about how well the girls handled their goodbyes this morning, they are all ready for the challenge and up for the exciting times ahead. xxx
Mark -girls make so much noise, what have I let myself in for!!!!
