BACK FROM KAI'S VILLAGE!

Heyy everyone! So after a very quick week at the orphanage we are back in Phnom Pehn preparing to head to the beach tomorrow morning!! The week was fantastic - we all had an amazing time! The work was a bit tedious at first as we spend the first 2 days picking rocks for 6 hours :/ However, for the rest of the week we worked on the farm, planting seeds and raking all sorts, for 2 hours and then played with the babies or taught the older children English for another 2 hours. The orphanage itself was lovely, the people were all so sweet, always with a smile on their faces, and you could tell that the children are well looked after. We felt glad leaving knowing all the children are in safe hands and will have an enjoyable childhood.

The goodbyes were very hard as we had bonded with alot of people, young and old. We all shed a tear or two! We obviously had as much of an impact on the orphanage as they did on us which is an amazing thing for us all to experience. I honestly think none of us will ever forget this week and the amazing people we met.
